Hi everybody! Moving to Seattle has put a few of my bigger projects on the back burner, but it’s also kick started a few I’ve been dying to get to. The main one being; learning how to use Blender. For those of you who don’t know, I went to school for character animation. Shout out to Animation Mentor! I love illustration but 3D animation is where my heart's at and where I’d like to take Addle Chair.
Blender is a free, open source, 3D software, that’s only gotten more powerful as the years go by. My goal is to be able to bring my own characters to life and create stories. I’d also like Addle Chair to be a resource for other creators to bring their own stories to life. Through a means of character models and props.
My current project is a short called Renascence Man. Where an character named Fauna meets the musical and interesting Dragon. I’d like to use it as a learning platform. For modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, ect in Blender, and for concept art and storytelling as an artist. I’m really excited for this project and hope I can keep you all up to date as things progress!
-Character designs are completed
-The first draft of storyboards are done
-The visual style is almost finalized
This blog will be the first place to find updates on Renascence Man as well as Addle Chair’s instagram page as I slowly shift gears from illustration to animation and 3D modeling.
Thank you all for your support!!
Some early sketches of Fauna!
