Letter to my Mama

Posted by Elle Moore on

Today in honor of Mother’s Day, I’ll be writing to my mama.

Dear mama,

Here’s to always telling me I could be anything I wanted. Than helping me see I could do anything I set my mind to.

Here’s to all the years you coached me. Where you taught me how to get back up when I fell, and how to keep my head in the game.

Here’s to all the cookie dough spoons you let me lick clean. And all the messes you never really got mad at me for when I crafted.

Here’s to letting me walk along your boxed garden sills, even as the nails were coming loose. And letting me brew fairy potions in the backyard.

Sowing dreams

Here’s to keeping all my old drawings. Because one day they were going to sell for A LOT of money since I’d be so famous.

Here’s to being a dreamer, and believing in your daughters dreams.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mama. I love you to the moon and back. You are my rock and you launched me toward the stars knowing I’d find my own lil place among them. I wouldn’t be the artist or woman I am today without you. Thank you.

Uplifting dreams

To ALL the mothers out there, Happy Mothers Day to you too! I hope it’s full of joy and happiness!

Thanks for reading, I know it wasn’t much, but it meant a lot. If you liked this post or any other please consider sharing it with your friends and family. Since Addle Chair is small, it really would mean the world to me if you helped it grow!
